Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic Hospitalized After Abrupt Return From US Visit

Belgrade: Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic was admitted to a hospital in Belgrade on Saturday, following an unexpected interruption to his working visit to the United States due to a sudden medical issue, local media reported.

According to Nam News Network, upon his arrival in Belgrade, Vucic was taken to the Military Medical Academy (VMA), as confirmed by the Presidency to the Tanjug news agency. Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar and Dragan Dincic, a senior physician at the VMA, were present at the hospital to receive him.

Vucic reportedly experienced discomfort on Friday afternoon, shortly after engaging in meetings with US Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich, and Serbian-American business representatives.

RTS reported that further details regarding Vucic’s health will be disclosed by the president’s office in the coming days. During his US visit, Vucic also had a meeting with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani in Florida.
