The Pentecost Preparatory School (PPS) at Kasseh in the Ada East district has held its 2023/2024 academic year graduation ceremony in honour of 37 pupils who completed junior high school (JHS) and 19 kindergarten pupils.
The ceremony saw pupils showcase their talents through poetry recitals, choreography, cadet displays, and other performances, to the admiration of parents, teachers, and other dignitaries present.
Mr Henry Naab, headmaster of the school, said the school had 344 pupils, made up of 174 boys and 170 girls, adding that its dedicated teachers were directly impacting quality education in the pupils.
‘Our students have shown remarkable academic performance with an overall improvement in our examination results.
‘Our students have improved very well this year, with several attaining top grades in various subjects. The school has instituted an award scheme to motivate and put competition among learners,’ he noted.
He appealed to the Pentecost Social Services Secretariat, the Parent-Teacher Assoc
iation, and the public to support the school in cash and in kind to help them deliver quality teaching and learning and provide the needed infrastructure.
Ms Priscila Otuteye, the outgoing girls’ prefect, noted that the school had really elevated her personality, and she hoped to work towards higher academic achievements.
Ms Bernice Frempong, also a JHS graduate, expressed gratitude to the teachers for imparting a lot of knowledge to them and also encouraged other pupils to take advantage of the school to attain their academic dreams.
Some parents who were at the event to support their wards expressed gratitude for the work being done by the teachers and the school administration while commending their children for the talents they displayed at the graduation ceremony.
