Orange Middle East & Africa and CAF Sign Landmark Mobile Broadcast Agreement for CAF Africa Cup of Nations

Casablanca: Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have announced the signing of a landmark agreement granting mobile-only broadcasting rights for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025, scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. According to African Press Organization, this agreement allows active users of the Max it super app to watch a curated selection of 35 live matches of the tournament across 13 Sub-Saharan African countries. These countries include Burkina Faso, Botswana, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea-Bissau. The broadcast package will feature all group-stage matches of the national teams from qualified Orange affiliates and selected knockout stage fixtures, including the round of 16, quarter-finals, one semi-final, the third-place play-off, and the final. This initiative ensures compre hensive coverage of African football, catering to the mobile usage patterns of a new generation of connected fans across the continent. The Max it super app, which combines telecommunications, financial services, entertainment, and digital content, will host the Max it TV universe, delivering a seamless viewing experience adapted to African markets. The app will also offer live programs before and after games, enriched with editorial expertise and production skills to provide in-depth content. OMEA's mobile-first strategy, demonstrated through this initiative, aims to make Max it the pan-African benchmark for digital content.
