After that of Gao, the laying of the first stone of a multifunctional center for the benefit of the Association des Femmes des Camps took place at Camp Fort Cheick Sidi Bekaye in Timbuktu by the Director of the Social Service of the Armed Forces, Colonel-Major Bréhima SAMAKE. He also launched the training of 35 young people from the said camp. It was Friday, January 27, 2023 in the presence of the Governor Divisional Commissioner Bakoun KANTE, the Commander of Defense Zone No. 5, Head of Sector 3 of Operation Maliko, Colonel Mamadou S KONE. Several personalities took part in these events.
According to the Director of the Social Service of the Armed Forces, Colonel-Major Bréhima SAMAKE, the objective of this book is to allow military families to integrate the economic and social circuit. It will also be a place for exchanges, meetings and to carry out activities in terms of socio-professional training as well as income-generating activities, he underlined.
Colonel-Major SAMAKE declared that the installation of the first of this building, for an amount of more than 60 million, constitutes a very important event, because it testifies to the will of the entire Malian Nation in all its components to want to work for the well-being of members and their families. He added that Malians from inside and outside demonstrated their commitment and patriotism through their contribution during the telethon organized by the Directorate of the Social Service of the Armed Forces on September 28, 2022.
For the training which will last 3 months, the first person in charge of the Social Service of the Armies will say that it falls within the framework of the execution of the action plan 2022-2023 of its structure. It was possible thanks to the accompaniment and support of the Ministry of National Entrepreneurship, Employment and Vocational Training through the ANPE by the delivery of 5 million CFA francs. The training concerns tiling, building electricity, photovoltaic electricity and plumbing. The overall cost of this training with support kits is estimated at 24 million CFA francs. The FORSAT Civile, always present for the cause of the FAMa, presented a giant check for 2 million for its contribution. She also presented another check for 500,000 CFA francs to the Association des Femmes des Camps.
Addressing the 35 young beneficiaries, Colonel-Major Bréhima SAMAKE urged them to be more courageous, diligent and self-sacrificing during the training period in order to derive maximum benefit.
The commander of defense zone n ° 5, head of sector 3 of the Maliko operation, Colonel Mamadou S KONE thanked the Social Service of the Armies for this historic and salutary work.
