The Association of Malians Resident in Equatorial Guinea, through the Collectif pour la Refondation du Mali (COREMA), made a significant donation of food to the Social Service of the Armed Forces. The handover ceremony took place on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the Directorate of Social Services of the Armed Forces (DSSA) under the chairmanship of the Deputy Director of Social Actions, Commander Souleymane SIDIBE. Were present the Secretary in charge of Malians Established abroad within COREMA, Mrs. SAMAKE Fatoumata TRAORE and several officials of the DSSA.
Composed of 20 bags of rice, 04 cans of oil of 20L and 10 pasta, this batch of food is intended for the families of the soldiers fallen on the battlefield and the wounded of war. This achievement is the result of the good relationship that exists between the DSSA and the association.
Donor spokesperson, Mrs. SAMAKE Fatoumata H TRAORE, said she was honored to have made this highly symbolic gesture to the widows of fallen soldiers and paramilitaries. For her, it is a duty to show their willingness to support the transitional authorities but also the widows of soldiers who fell for Mali. According to Fatoumata H TRAORE, this donation is a way of showing that they are aware of their sacrifice.
According to the Deputy Director of Social Actions, Commander Souleymane SIDIBE, this gesture demonstrates not only the patriotic fiber that animates this association vis-à-vis our country, but also the testimony of their support for the families of the military and paramilitaries fallen on the theaters of operations.
Commander SIDIBE thanked the donors for this philanthropic gesture before reassuring them of the proper use by the recipients of the donation.
It should be noted that the Department of the Social Service of the Armed Forces works to improve the living conditions and the development of soldiers and their families.
