Algiers: Algeria has initiated the necessary procedures for the termination of the agreement on air services between the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), signed in Abu Dhabi on 13 May 2013 and ratified by Presidential Decree of 30 December 2014. According to Algeria Press Service, under the provisions of Article 22 of the aforementioned agreement, the denunciation must be notified through diplomatic channels to the Emirati contracting party, with simultaneous notification to the Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for the fulfilment of the required formalities with said organization.
